Rustic Tuscan Bean & Sausage Stew: A Hearty Twist on a Classic

For a cozy dinner with a bold, Italian-inspired flair, this rustic twist on our classic Tuscan Bean Soup will hit the spot. Packed with protein and rich flavors, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s as easy to make as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 container Finger Foods Farm Tuscan Bean Soup
  • 1–2 sausage links or 1/4–1/2 lb ground sausage (Andouille recommended)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the Soup:
Defrost your Finger Foods Farm Tuscan Bean Soup overnight in the fridge or quickly by placing the container in a bowl of warm water.
  2. Cook the Sausage:
If using links, cook them whole and set aside. For ground sausage, cook until browned, breaking it into pieces. Let cool slightly.
  3. Heat the Soup:
Once the soup has thawed enough to slip out of the container, pour it into a saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring periodically, until it begins to simmer.
  4. Combine and Simmer:
Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces (if using links) and add to the soup. Simmer together for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. Serve:
Enjoy as it is, or pair with a crusty loaf of bread for dipping.

Pro Tip

For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan or a drizzle of olive oil over each bowl before serving.
